Wade's ranch home needs a woman's touch. Abigail's life needs a cowboy's touch.
Four years ago, rodeo celebrity Wade Ryan gave up his identity to protect his daughter. Now, settled on a ranch in Big Sky Country, he lives in obscurity, his heart guarded by a high, thick fence.
Abigail Jones isn't sure how she went from big-city columnist to small-town nanny, but her new charge is growing on her, to say nothing of her ruggedly handsome boss. Love blossoms between Abigail and Wade--despite her better judgment. Will the secrets she brought with her to Moose Creek, Montana separate her from the cowboy who finally captured her heart?
My Review:
5 STARS
"A Cowboy's Touch" was so exciting and romantic!! Abby takes a leave of absence from her job, mostly because her Dr sister and her worried mother force her to, and she heads out to her Aunt’s house in Montana to get some much needed rest. Once she is there though she ends up meeting a little girl and her charming widow cowboy daddy! The little girl Maddy needs a nanny and Abby needs something to fill her time she accepts the position. One thing she probably didn't expect was the way Wade, Maddy's dad, would be tempting her beyond belief.
This story was probably one of my favorite contemporary Christian fictions. Most of the time when you read about cowboys they are historical so I was a bit skeptical but wow was I proven wrong. Denise made the idea of current cowboys sound delicious! Wade was such an amazing character that you just wanted to trade places with Abby and be the one in his embrace!
The romance was dazzling. Denise painted some enchanting kissing scenes that made your toes curl. I loved the way both Abby and Wade had issues to deal with in their lives before they could realize what God had in store for their futures.
The spiritual tone was uplifting and encouraging! There was a lot of talk about how to get re-connected with God when you've put Him on the side burner, dealing with undeserved guilt and forgiveness.
I think all fans of Christian cowboys will love this story, and if you didn't think you'd enjoy a book with a widowed cowboy in it, once you read this story you will desire more!
This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to the publishers through NetGalley for my copy to review.
