The Trove of the Passion Room

About The Trove of the Passion Room:

“The Trove of the Passion Room is not simply a story. Nor is it only a fable, a legend or mere nonsensical superstition. It exists. There is a trove hidden in The Passion Room…a trove that has never before in its fullness been found—for it is hidden by the spell of passion that lingers within the room itself. The passion inspired of the room cannot be denied. It cannot be controlled or resisted. And as the influence of The Passion Room cannot be evaded, neither can the trove be revealed without absolute and consummate surrender to...” She paused as her eyes widened. “What?” she breathed. “No way!”

From Marcia:
"I LOVED writing The Trove of the Passion Room! I think it's one of my very, very favorite contemporary stories! The story is so close to my heart! And the hero is...how can I say this...INCREDIBLE! I know you want details...but I'm not sure what would best wet your whistle! Let's just say this for now...it's entitled The Trove of THE PASSION ROOM...will that do?"

My Review:
5 STARS

This is probably one of my favorite contemporary novels that Marcia has written.  I am a big fan of Marcia Lynn McClure and almost always start my reviews with “this is a favorite of mine”.  That being said though, I always prefer her historical over her contemporary novels.  I just find the romance more believable and intriguing in historicals but I must say that this book was amazing!  I completely bought in to the romance and loved every sweet and passionate second of it! The way the story is written that has you being transported to the past with the stories about antiques while keeping you invested in the present is amazing!

The characters are beautifully written.  Sharlamagne is hilarious! I love how easily she gets going on some big story and I loved her little quirkiness about the “s word”!! Maxim is definitely swoon worthy – any designer jean model is yummy to begin with but add to it that he loves to spend time with his grandma – Awww!!

The best part of this book is the WW11 ball.  I loved the way Sharlamagne was portrayed at the ball; invested in hearing the stories of the vets, completely enthralled with the historical aspects surrounding her…and the kiss!! Yum!!

This story is jam-packed with passion, history, great stories and wonderful characters!

Content: some mild language, clean romance.

About Marcia Lynn McClure:

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Marcia Lynn McClure grew up influenced by the reminiscent stories of rugged, rural Colorado farm life fascinatingly recounted to her by her parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts…tales of runaway buckboards, mule-drawn plows and dust pneumonia; verbalized images of stream-flooded meadows, frozen over in winter, where a child could peer through the crystal clear ice in wonder at the small fish, snakes and mice sealed in the meadow grasses beneath; stories of hardship and tragedy, love and loss. But always the stories, and the people telling them, bore evidence of the wonder and worthiness of simpler, yet sometimes brutal, times.

These influential people and the family legends they detailed, coupled with her own life experiences and utterly romantic nature, led Marcia to begin writing novels as Christmas gifts for her closest friends…friends who long for a breath of the past and miss the romance of bygone eras; friends searching for moments of distraction from the stressful, demanding times we live in.

And so, knowing that it is the breath of the past and the "take me in you arms and kiss me" kind of moments that so many women long to relive, Marcia spins her tales of love, life and laughter…adventures woven around those compelling, romantic instances that most appeal to a woman's loving heart. Marcia feels that if her readers close one of her books with a contented sigh and a delighted smile, feeling rejuvenated, cheerful and edified, then she has achieved what she set out to do…shower refreshment and happiness on anyone having experienced the story.

Marcia lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. There she writes her stories surrounded by her beloved friends and family...and the beautiful desert landscape of New Mexico!
